NIE-number:
Número de identificación de extranjeros. NIE Number is a tax identification number for foreign people in Spain. It is required by Spanish law.
Escritura de compraventa:
Title Deed, document of the formal act of selling/buying signed before a Notary Public.
Escritura de hipoteca:
Mortgage Deed, which are signed before the Notary Public. Document specifies the financial entity's and client's (borrower) rights and obligations, of which the Notary Public bears witness.
IVA:
"Impuestos sobre el valor añadido" (VAT)
7% of the amount specified in the Title Deed, it can vary in different provinces. If you buy a parking space registered separately, the applicable rate will be 16%.
Nota simple:
Document, which is given by the Property Register, identifies the current owner, and whether there is a mortgage on the property or any other rights, such as court orders for distraint or seizure, resolution conditions, rights of use, or any other rights / obligations over property.
Plusvalía:
This is a local tax based on the increase in value of the urban sites, accumulated during the years the vendor had ownership. It is calculated taking into account the registry value and the number of years elapsed since the previous sale. To this increment, the rate is established by the Municipalities according to legally defined maximum and minimum limits is applied. Señal de arras tai señal de reserva:
Down Payment Contract, which clearly describes the property, by which the seller obliges himself to sell the property, and the buyer obliges himself to pay a price for it, price and the terms of payments.

This tax is attached to the property and the owner is liable for paying it.
